so, has this happened to you yet? I come home from work, play my phone messages and I hear this: Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This is your final notice. This is the IRS, the Internal Revenue Service, calling to advise you that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against you...... Call 202-591-2221 ....... What?!?! So the first thing I do is call my senior friend to see if she has heard or seen anything on the news about an IRS phone scam. The poor woman got the exact same call today and she almost had a heart attack! Id love to get my hands on the #%&*# creep that scared the daylights out of her! Dont you fall for one of these calls and PLEASE check on your senior friends. They fall prey to this so easily. As for reporting this, the IRS really seems to only want your information if youve been victimized with this scam. Id still let your local city officials know about this though. Tis the holiday season when everyone wants to get their hands on our money. Sure wish I had some for myself :(
