so i am trying to find an answer to a trivial question and if you are a fan of nikola tesla perhaps you can help me.:) the question i have is was nikola tesla a serbian or a croatian? he was born in what is now croatia i have been told. i looked on the net and found different resources claiming both also one stating he was of mixed serb and croat descent and one claiming he was an ethnic romanian ( istro romanian) i am not too familiar with that part of europe and know the boundaries have changed over the years and that often the origins of famous men are claimed by one group or another out of proportion. for instance look at the rivalry between kentucky, indiana and illinois over abraham lincoln! i have met kentuckians who think he lived there all his life and a lady from illinois who was completely unaware of his birth and early childhood in either kentucky or indiana. any way if you have some information or even just an opinion on the origins of tesla let me know thanks:)
