so i head to my old grandmas house on a repo job to take someones truck. i arrive during some hybrid of daytime and night time where the sky is perpetually dark purple and everything is warm and smells like dirty garbage summer. i am incredibly bad at driving and swerve backwards into the dirt driveway, smashing a large tortoise in the face, blood sprays from his turtle nose and eyes as i exit my vehicle. this is the turtle whose truck needs to be repossessed? suddenly an unknown, amorphous teen-aged female is crouched next to the wounded dog (its a dog now, and not just any dog, half dog, half no idea, quivering in an obscene caricature of doghood), she cradles it in her arms and yells some incoherent psychic gibberish about how the dog is dying, shes very upset. the dog looks me directly in the eye and starts making weird purring, meowing, barking, whining, crying noises that eventually coalesce into the english language i love you, a chorus of bent animal noises croons from the now human-like lips of the animal. - dream i had this morning.
