so last night decided to go to gmr, as we were leaving half way down ridge i smelled a fire. and saw another a guy waving us down. a car went off the cliff and busted into flames, but we could still hear a womans screams. as i aproached the cliff i noticed the guys friend that flagged us down was trying to reach the girl, but the mountain was too steep, even for him. he also was trapped and couldnt not make it back up, without thinking, i slid down the cliff a little ways to reach the man trying to help. i got withing 6 feet of him and told him to grab my leg. as i pulled my self up the clifff he held on for life as he used my body as a ladder and climbed up and was able to make it back to safety. then they made a chain of people and pulled me up. we kept on talking to the young lady and reassured her that help was on the way. unfortunetly there was another guy in the wreckage that was killed. i pray for them and its constantly on my mind that what if we werent there to help? it was a random idea to go to mt. baldy but i know now why i was sent there. it was a good feeling trying to save a life and was the first time someone called me a hero. :) thank you God latimes/local/lanow/la-me-ln-baldy-crash-20130816,0,5524570.story
