...... so there I was, cruising down the ka- slope, feeling nice. Then these two groundsmen carrying a bin walk by. They seem impressed that I am riding on my own after 45 minutes. I look up to acknowledge their greetings and praise. The next thing I know, this acacia tree , complete with thorns, is coming straight at me. At 60 kph! Next to it is a muddy puddle with a bit of grass. I willed my Schwinn to get back to the gravel road. Alas! It defied me! Because trees are not known to change their stand, I chose the mud. Kweli dirt is good! #grateful for my ample luhya behind which cushioned my fall from grace# Moral of the story? Pride comes before a fall......
