so to recap my 1st mammogram experience... 1st of all I am convinced that they have it below 40 degrees in there so when it is time for your test your nipples are at attention....I was made to change into the front facing open pink gown...while although it was pink had no other redeeming quality...now.. my girls weigh about 4 to 5 lbs...each... so when it was time to place one in the machine... and the weight was taken from my body... I WAS LIKE WHOA! then THAT WOMAN...pulled the machine down onto my breast... and I said to myself...okay thats not too bad... slight pressure... but then THAT WOMAN... turned a knob about 3 rotations that REALLY VICE GRIPPED me..... I wanted to smack her...but I was now stuck in this contraption.... so... now with an average boobie.... the tech has to take about 2 images per boob..... WELL NOT ME....I do things BIG! After taking the first image she realized that she was going to need to do a total of 4 images.....and then that she needed 5 IN TOTAL... PER BOOB..... I told her that she was not my favorite person... not taking into account that some strange woman was handling my girls and positioning into this vice grip....the only part I found unbearable...to the point I had to dig my nails into my palms to counteract that boob pain... cause gravity was working when she had to do the side view... I am sharing my experience in a hope that you will get or encourage a woman that you know and love to check the tatas! That pain only lasted at most 5 to 7 secs... I could not imagine not catching it in time and having to endure further invasive pain... I can admit that before today I had many reservations about getting the girls checked... but I am happy that I did it. #savetheTATAS
