some films earn their reputations years after the fact. this is one that still has been lost to the junkpile of misunderstood films. terrible ad campaign, terrible marketing as if it was some family movie. i put my backing behind admitting this is one of the most profoundly disturbing films i have ever seen, the whole thing is creepy to the bone and thats why no one talks about it. and the ending! the opening scene! the quest! all of it... well they never wanted to look at it again. this was going to be Stanley Kubricks last movie, but he died and Spielberg picked it up and did a faithful rendition. i think its one of his best movies. anyway, am i alone on this one? https://youtube/watch?v=sqS83f-NUww
