Dear restaurants, Street food is food served in the street. if youve permanent indoor premises and you’re serving food in cardboard with wooden sporks, you’re not street food, you’re just saving on washing up. Please stop serving stuff on wooden planks. you just end up with a mess on the table. I was served a roast dinner (with gravy) on a wooden platter and the table ended up looking like The Somme. Stop calling everything ‘pulled’. ‘slow roasted pork’ sounds delicious. something youve put care and attention into. ‘pulled pork’ sounds low rent, and a little bit mucky. Chips. you don’t need to serve them in a tiny bucket wrapped in a pretend newspaper, or a pretend deep fryer basket, or in a miniature Jenga tower. chips are ace. they don’t need a stage set. Stop pretending that making a decent burger is complicated. Yours etc etc
