somehow reminds me of a Charles Baudelaire poem - Carrion (Strvina) which I loved and thought it was one of the most beautiful love poems when I was a teenager. Talking about the mortality and how even when the worms are eating her body he will love her still and forever and no matter the body and death of the body, the love will still prevail it all... Also just knowing our mortality we should live in now and cherish the moment... Maybe its kind of a dark poem for you guys, but for me as a teenager was hope.
