somehow whenever I see any documentary or shows like Deadliest Warrior and they talk about Javelins or the Pilum and have someone demonstrate how they wouldve been used. I dont feel as if tho its an accurate demonstration of it at all because these are usually guys who only thrown it maybe 4-5 times before appose to a professional army that were use to launching these at longer range. Does anybody know how far these throwing spears wouldve traveled and how effective they were?
