someone asked me a day ago why I call myself Black MacGyver as it could be seen as racially segregating. After some thought I figured there might be some people out there who might also be curious about this. Therefore here is the answer I sent to that Gentleman: Smiles buddy. I guess if a persons heart and mind is in a negative segregated space or partial to racial motivation. I got the nickname from some special operation forces buddies who called me that because I was always inventing and creating things. Started as a joke but then it stuck. I like it. Not separating me from anything or anyone as the people who gave it to me were white, black, yellow, etc. Nicknames are fun expressive names that should mostly be taken light heartedly. I was honored to have the nick name and to think that my friends call me that because they in their words believe I am smart and inventive. So thats it. I will only be negative if someone makes it negative but if they are wise enough like you to ask me the back story then they will find out the truth and maybe wont take it so serious. Thanks for asking.
