something that bothers me ,and as much as I love to bowl , and as much as this sport needs to thrive and proprietors need bowlers ,I just dont understand some bowling alleys keep changing the oil patterns on the lanes from week to week . What ever happened to a house shot and leave it alone , I have teammates now that are not showing up because of the alleys we bowl at cant get a house shot down and leave it ,then they run bracket tourneys between bowlers in the house but different leagues and dont put down the same shot to make it as equal as possible for the competitors , and call this fair ? NOT ! I wont do this tourney again! just dont understand at all , and wonder why bowlers are leaving and leagues are gone ? Seriously thinking of doing the same , last week most of us on the two lanes just made 500 series and a couple made a low 600 and one a 700 all 215+ average bowlers 7 of us just making 500 , I drive 90 plus miles round trip to bowl , and battle the winter road conditions for this ???? even the pba we Know what we are shooting on , here for the recreation bowler they have no idea what to expect . love to bowl but rethinking my choice to bowl .
