sometimes it is nice to be old - people think you are eccentric but harmless. I was picking stems and shrubs for a floral arrangement - picked in the ditches near NTCL - and got curious looks from people as they drove by. I just glanced up and went on working. I think that is pretty good for someone who was once so painfully shy that I would look at the ground when people spoke to me. I love the cooler weather, Sailor who is not so young anymore enjoys it too. I let him swim at the river a couple of days ago, and he so enjoyed the freedom and buoyancy that the water gives him from his painful joints. Not sure if it will be just his last swim for the season or his last swim altogether. Praying he has a couple of more years to enjoy this place we call home. Thank you Creator for this weather although we complain, it is better than all the forest fires and the smoke.
