sometimes the hardest hitting lesson in life is when u look in the mirror, and realize who u are, life is like a giant production, and we all have roles set for us, as much as id like to lie to myself and think im the knight in shinning armor, or the strong dashing hero, im just not, im that nice guy at work u talk to for advice but would never date,, im that smile that women enjoy, but at the same time im pitied, im the dork, the nerd, and i joke and laugh my way through it to make the pain of being truly miserable bearable, i hide behind the mask of smiles, cuz i dont want anyone else to carry this burden, this bone crushing sadness thats inside of me, so i choke down the cold butterflies every morning and get into costume, the universal nice guy, thats my role, im never gonna get the girl, cuz no woman respects that, and I will probably spend my older years, once the hope for true has love has withered, sitting in a corner booth at a local diner sipping coffee, just to talk to my pretty teenage waitress and remember the type of love I once hoped for........
