soon, we light a memorial candle in memory of those who were killed during the Holocaust. 6 million Jews (and millions of others as well). My father was born in warsaw, poland (1918). somehow, his family had an inkling, and they left europe in 1923. one brother came to israel/palestine, one went on to argentina, the rest tried to get into the united states, but alas, with quotas in place, they were turned away, and instead, settled in havana, cuba. that was good for a while, and well....anyway, we remember, and never forget.
