sooooo exhausted......flew from Rome to Dubai - watched Mud (excellent film) & then watched White House Down (whoever said it wasnt much did NOT know what they were talking about it was really really good!!!! Then hit Dubai airport walk around, test perfumes, sit down & chow down on an omelette together and then time to board again for Singapore! First thing we do is watch Hummingbird (I just love Jason Statham) great film - then we sleep for 2 hours and then we eat & David plays games while I watched Disneys Tangled (yes Bobbie - it is really good)!!! So then we snooze for about 20 minutes & hey presto we hit the ground in Singapore and let me tell you we hit that bloody ground running!!!!! So, we get in late Saturday arvo & grab a taxi to our resort!!! WOWEE - it is beautiful here - the room is amazing and huge, the resort is surrounded by lush tropical plants, orchids everywhere (mum they are amazing), peacocks strutting their stuff all over the place and the sound of water everywhere you turn (bad luck if you need to pee!) So, of course we shower & change as fast as possible and then laugh cause we have gone from cool weather (at times very cold) to 34 degrees - for us it was weird - no boots or jeans or scarves or jumpers or jackets or hats or gloves or brollies - just us & as little clothing as possible & soon to be followed by extremely sore feet. The first thing we do is take the complimentary shuttle to VivoCity (the largest shopping complex in Singapore) - oh my VERY goodness - so many shops - we were completely in awe of the place & the shops (like Europe) were full of stuff we dont get at home but this time there was stuff we do too! David needed shorts & thongs and I needed a couple of things - we got this stuff and had dinner at a great Thai place - the food too is SOOO different but so damn good!!! We got back to the hotel late & so bloody exhausted that we really struggled to even get into bed but then we thought we better post a post but then the computer stuffed up so we thought stuff it - set our alarm to get up & go to the gym and went to bed! Night night Mr & Mrs C xxx
