soooooo..What did you do on this beautiful sun drenched Saturday, Chad? Well, my FB peeps, since you asked, I spent the day in purgatory. By that I mean hosting a Yard Sale at my house. It has been several years since I have treated myself to such an event, so I thought it was about time to castigate myself in the manner of spending hours going through things that are collecting dust in a closet, or attic, sorting them out, deciding if they needed to be donated, ignored, returned to the closet or attic, trashed or displayed to the dubious public for purchase. And boy did I make the wrong decision. Trust, me trashing, donating, dumping in the sea, or setting the stuff on fire in the street for roasting marshmallows would have been more enjoyable then this decision. You want to bring out the loonies from the asylum, then have a Yard sale.....but, for the love of Pete, do it in someone elses yard. I would just like to add to the general public out there (the trailer parks turned em loose today) who prey upon their average citizens each and every weekend who mistakenly and delusion-ally decide to set up a personal base camp flea market in their own yard, go away, and get help and stop handing over 20 dollar bills for your 1 dollar purchase like this is a Walmart....which come to think of it, has many similarities to what occurs at a Yard sale......Hosting a yard sale is at times like being a carnival barker, a day care operator, a psychiatrist, and a Navy seal and is ALWAYS like an extended episode of the Twilight Zone, and unfortunately requires the innermost zen patience that I do not possess, and never shall. and I am truly thankful that the average person cannot read thoughts, or that my .357 was locked away and not on my hip...... in closing, will I do this again.........only in my nightmares.......
