spoke, at length, with a co-worker whose husband was diagnosed with ALS 10 months ago. It was one of those conversations we started and couldnt end except after traveling over some brutally rough terrain. The conversation seemed so hard to me but it paled by comparison to the actual living of it. In the end I was awestruck by this familys pride, tenacity and obvious love. While I havent been tagged in the ice-bucket challenge, I wrote a check today to support their family and another to support the ALS Association.
