stop mowing the lawns and chatting to your neighbours! you dont really like them, youre playing sunday pleasantries! you can choose your day! today be simply day for me. and choosing that today is sunday is about as relevant as choosing to clip your toe nails before walking on the beach - unless you are victim of institutional mentality, in which case my plea for you to attend my gig tonight might not be in vain!! thats right! its sunday! relax! cruise over to bar open on brunswick st, in a relaxed fashion, order a relaxing beer and listen to a bunch of relaxing singers, who will attempt to sing sweetly rather than with the subtly more desperate tone of a monday or with the deep sobs that ought naturally accompany the awareness that the act of mowing the lawns is a bitterly ironic contrast to becoming nature-connected and healing a dying planet (i.e. a dying self), not least because of its time wasting factor (note: meditative practices can be directed into a field of your choice, not restricted to your backyard) choose day, not sunday. by the way... my set time is 9:40pm (have a nap before, if that is what sunday requires of you), opening for Matt Kelly.
