talked with my educational consultant yesterday. Katie likes Candy, but is afraid all the students will want to be cheerleaders. well, she could be right. but is this so bad? not all can be athletes, esp white kids. is cheerleading a career possibility? this is my first important decision of the school yr. I do not want to lead these 11 yr olds astray. news from Raleigh is good. the state has granted me a waiver on my A certificate renewal, and has in fact granted me 40 yrs teaching experience. I must pay back fees, etc. which amount to $1.5 mil. I must have the jump ropes by Monday morning.
