#tbt Sept. 2003, our second day of volunteering on the Bob-lo Boat Ste. Claire. Our first day was Labor Day in Toledo, poured rain, got soaked, came home with paint chips in our hair, in our pockets but were back 2 weeks later after she was towed to Lorain, OH. We made that trek to Lorain numerous times until she was brought to Windsor, then River Rouge and Detroit. Mike will never forget being on board the ship on its 8 hour tow from Lorain to Windsor. I am gluing down new canvas on the deck then stapling it down. For all the work we did on the ship over the next several years, owners change hands, visions change, we did what we thought was our part in helping to restore the old gal and were proud to be a part of the restoration team. We enjoyed our run and made some awesome friendships. Click each photo for full shot.
