#tbt We made this movie in 2002 with the D.P. of IRONMAN, Matty Libatique, and it is STILL the best project Ive ever been a part of. Its a short film about the marines who raised the flag on Iwo Jima. It won audience favorite at SLAMDANCE (Sundances INDY festival/annex), but then Clint Eastwood bought the rights to the book/movie a year later and made Flags of Our Fathers. I play Harlon Block, USMC, the man at the base of the flag raising on Iwo Jima. I am introduced in the film when Strank and I are throwing rocks up the hill. I am the Marine with the southern accent; not the one peeing on the hill, the one throwing rocks. Matt Bushell said this was his FIRST film after he moved out to LA and since he has been in a long list of big shows: CSI, Mad Men, and TWILIGHT. He is the Marine picking out the gold teeth of the dead Japanese soldier with his knife. We were reminiscing about this film recently while shooting RUBICON (ill post a link in the comments if you want to see us now) and things are looking good for that show! LINK: https://youtube/watch?v=YFm0BslvcI4 THE 7TH MAN Is @ 12 minutes long, but seriously, I am SO proud of this film, plz watch it to the end. You wont regret it. Ive seen Marines CRY :)
