technologyvista.in: India-born Rajeev Suri pegged as Nokia’s next CEO Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) CEO, Rajeev Suri, is being reported as the likely candidate to become Nokia’s next CEO. According to the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper, Suri has almost been finalized to take over the top job once Nokia’s handset and services business is acquired by Microsoft. The deal is expected to close by the end of this month. Suri will succeed Stephen Elop, who will move to Microsoft and head its devices business unit after the acquisition is completed. Elop had to relinquish his position of CEO and President of Nokia and also resign from the board of directors after the acquisition deal was announced. Currently, Risto Siilasmaa, the Chairman of the board has taken over as the interim CEO. Suri was responsible for effectively turning Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) profitable. Post the sale of the handset and services business, NSN would be the major revenue generator for the company.
