tens of thousands died of it (cancer) last year. More thousands will die this year. The premise of the bill is that all these deaths are wasted. We are not learning from them. Lord Maurice Saatchi commenting in todays Times on his Medical Innovation Bill which is debated at committee stage in the Lords next week. The Bill now has the backing of the most influential names in the medical establishment and the tacit approval of the government. We may not share Saatchis politics, but we have witnessed first hand his passion, courage and commitment in driving this work forward. In our humble opinion hes a pretty amazing human being. We are extremely proud to be lead supporters of the Bill. He says he will never give up. Rest assured neither will we. First and foremost we need a culture that supports innovation. Chloes treatment was an example of a failed experiment that is repeated again and again. Please read the article (page 15) and join the movement or just join the debate saatchibill.tumblr. Oh and a little respectful plea for proper debate. You know who you are! Nasty comments about wheeling out children out whove died of cancer is thoroughly unpleasant and not helpful to informed debate. This is so important we need to hear genuine concerns and debate them properly. Have a great day - all of you x Oh and thoughts and prayers for Josephine Hart, Lord Saatchis wife and the inspiration behind this bill. And to anybody who is going through this nightmare or is watching a loved one battle.
