the Audit Memo As heat from El Nino takes centre stage in Kuala Lumpur, our latest “Buddy” activity brought us sheltered indoors at the Laser Tag Arena situated in e-Curve Mutiara Damansara. To make things more competitive, the buddy groups headed none others than our Audit Partners, Alex Ooi, Rejeesh and Seng Siew had came together for the first time to play laser tag. (Note: For readers who are not familiar what laser tag is, it is a team sport where players (wearing infrared-sensitive vests) attempt to score points by tagging targets with a hand-held infrared-emitting gun. Players will be battling against each other in a dimly-lit arena filled with various obstacles). Given the battalion of laser fighters that turned up (some 50 of us from BDO Audit Division) that day, we had split into 3 battalions based on our individual buddy groups. The battalion who wins the most skirmishes at the end of the day will emerge victorious. A practice session was first played in the Free for All mode (where all players are fighting each other) to give our laser fighters a feel of the game. It was then followed by an intense 2 hours of team death matches. The battalion that eventually won was Seng Siews battalion who put through carefully executed strategies which defeated their two counterparts. Regardless, all battalions of laser fighters were rewarded handsomely. ;-p It is truly a weary day for us but a fabulous day to stay stress-free from audit engagements and enjoy the play.
