the Morning Call published a vague story with a deceiving headline this morning regarding Holly Branagans unsolved murder.. The headline reads Police have suspect in Holly Branagan cold case The caption reads, For the first time since Holly Branagans murder 35 years ago, investigators working the cold case say they believe they know who stabbed the 17-year-old to death in the kitchen of her Bethlehem home. A few paragraphs down, the article reads, Bethlehem police Chief Mark DiLuzio said he supports Galloways theory and is hopeful police can gather what is needed to make an arrest. He was a 19-year-old college student studying criminal justice when Holly was murdered. How do you interpret this? Is a suspect a criminal justice student? Or is Mark Diluzio the 19 y/o student? The suspect the author is describing is A PROFILE, not a physical person Either way, the headline is inaccurate, irresponsible and misleading. This was a gimmick headline to draw in readers to generate hits on their website. MCall should be ashamed of themselves.
