the Protecto plate for my 69 Camaro, showed I had an M21 close ratio trans...back in 1998, I replaced the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate along with throw out and pilot and installed a Lakewood bell housing...the car sits so low that if the street has a dip or small bump, I hit...so the trans is now leaking something crazy from the nose...I wanted to see if the trans was original to my car...guess what and Im surprised I didnt catch it all those years ago...its an M20!!...no wonder I launch so hard but heres the kicker...its from a 63-67 era Chevy and the tail is a 67 series...WTF!!!....somebody must have grenaded the original M21 and built this on from parts they had...goes in today for inspection and rebuild...maybe one of those supercases..wish I had the bucks..I would build it into a super M22R...
