the media lead anti corruption sop as far as i remember started with adarsh society then 2g then common wealth games, coal-gate and so on during the adarsh scam the govt. of maharastra and the centre was heckled and hackled for giving permissions without necessary environmental clearances - heads of chief ministers and ministers started rolling as centre started acting against them. but today when so many projects are stalled for want of clearances the govt. is blamed again. the 2g scam engineered by telecom raja and his party. c&ag came with a figure that the nation has lost 1.73 lac crores for not auctioning spectrum.the nation was communicated that the govt has eaten up 1.73 lacs of public money. spectrum which was never auctioned has not been auctioned this time also. the real problem was that the prime minister had advised the ministry to auction but the minister who belonged to a coalition whose help was taken to form this govt. because of the voters fractured mandate went ahead with free distribution but he kept some of the advise of the pm and went for auction of 3g which fetched some 0.6 lacs.crores there is no mention of raja since his jail yatra but the media has been attacking the central govt. in fact the nira radia tape was leaked by the govt. itself for which the govt is also blamed. the courts cancelled all the new licences and the auction process fetched barely 15k crores. but till date the loss of 1.73 lac crores is making the rounds. its better to be a thief than be his govt. the coal-gate scam - all proposals are initiated and forwarded by the state govts. but only the central govt. is blamed. there has been no mining since a long time. we all know india has produced a few billionaires listed in the top global billionaires list but have no technology for exports, the only thing left is natural resources to save india from forex bashing.
