the new ANNIE - Wallis is adorable and exudes charisma, a few of the numbers have real spark and energy, there are some good chuckles here and there, and if you have children 12-and-Under its likely theyll love every sparkly candy-coloured minute of it. For kids, itll become a new staple of the Watched Over and Over Again collection. the downside? you can tell nobody can really sing, the auto tune slidings on all the vocals are more than obvious, the filmmaking is generally rather sloppy on a purely technical level and i had literally no idea what Cameron Diaz was doing most of the time, and Im one of her staunchest defenders (In Her Shoes, trust me, shes brilliant in it). so, how does one rate it? see it with kids. theyll smile wildly the entire time. theres your rating.
