the question has been asked about walking together when we have differences and there are many reasons for the question and many answers...because we view each scenario through different gifting and life experience. One of the keys to walking well together prophetically is honour and the Glory of God being poured out to such an extent that differences become unimportant...only His Presence matters. This morning the phrase Suspicious Minds has been swirling around me and that old Elvis song..... and I sense that the Lord is wanting to address this area in the prophetic arena. This is another very important key ..... If we are to walk well prophetically, our minds and thoughts towards each other must be freed from this whole realm of suspicion. What are some of the signs of this kind of place in our lives? Well....are we right away (when we hear certain people) dubious, mistrustful, thinking of their history, skeptical, cautious (which masquerades quite often as wisdom)...if those are our defaults then we need to look at where and why suspicion has taken root in our heart and our minds. The song says this: We cant go on together With suspicious minds And we cant build our dreams On suspicious minds The truth says we are called to walk together, in love and trust. Believing the best of each other, even preferring the other over ourselves. The truth is that we are called to walk in greater love.... Suspicion is a major hindrance to us walking together. so my challenge to the prophetic world today - a culture which is coming through a great and very needed refining.... is this.... What place have we given to Suspicion? without pointing the finger at another...where have I allowed it to become a thermometer as to wether I will listen to (or not) a prophetic voice?
