the separation of church and state does not mean separate the state from the church. what it means is that our founders wanted to avoid the persecution of an established state church such as the one they left behind in england where only the church of england was to be recognized. the founders were not running from christianity...they were running to the freedom to believe in christianity they way they saw fit to do. they were running from a church that belonged to and was created by the state. they were running from a king that did not allow them to worship freely and creating their own world where they could worship freely. currently, atheist, the aclu and liberal progressives in the obama administration are trying to remove god from public places. tell me...how does removing christianity from public places follow any type of rationale towards what our founders wanted for this new nation...a nation where christians can pray publicly if they choose to do so? what liberals are pushing is religious intolerance and forcing the governments hands to do so (albeit many government officials are more than willing to go along with this usurping of power that allows us to worship freely, wherever we go). this separation of church and state in the liberal mind is no better than what our founders left behind in england and its being done intentionally. it is their intention to separate us from our god who says there is no way to him but through his son, jesus christ. i will not be separated. i will not comply...just as our founders did not comply. our constitution is written and no matter how hard liberals try...as long as one man or woman knows it is there...it is there for so long as we shall live and willing to rush to defend it. allabouthistory.org/separation-of-church-and-state.htm
