there is a Republican narrative making the rounds now, that says among other things, that the President cant wrap his head around the fact that ISIS is at war with us. There are many versions of this theme that imply that he is afraid, ignorant, sympathetic to Islamic sentiments, dovish to a fault, incompetent, dangerously so, untrustworthy and much more. Where do these people live?? In what country and through what history have they done it? What is it that they put in their tea that so excites their emotions and would have them seek to do the same to the American people? To this country? Ive said this before, there was a profound wisdom at work in the selection of this president as the Peace Prize laureate for 2009 by the Nobel committee. Take me to task on this in years to come, but there is a singular force, it would seem, that is prudently not giving in to emotional, reactionary, warmongering songs and dances being broadcast on Roger Ailess news network even as I write now, and that is the administration of Barack Obama. Its not the hysteria being whipped up by media forces like that, that disturbs me but the tendency of so much of the American public to be predisposed to believing that line. What is it, and I imagine that there are complex situations that come into play here, that make that so? Point me to a few possible factors, please.
