there is a big debate about PM having a dig at Polish people... It is really sad that it comes to that... We know that from the history that this is a nothing new... 50 years ago there were signs in public places : No Dogs, No Irish. A decade later the Afro Caribbean community was at receiving end... Then comes the Indians, Pakistani, the Asylum Seekers... Now my nation is being ridiculed and frown uppon and labeled. I enjoyed living in this country for the past twenty something years but it makes me sad that I cannot longer speak on the mobile in my mothers tongue language in front of the fellow passangers on a train without attracting dirty looks... In recent years I received a humiliated treatment from some British colleagues, especially when unable to find any job in charity sector I end up working in recruitment! What about the memory of thousands of Polish pilots and soldiers who fought for Britain? What about the thousands of decent and honest Polish men and women who work so hard in the UK, paying taxes, buying goods with intention to return back??? What about the Chopin, Copernicus, Paderewski, Marie Curie... The BBC recently broadcasted program for children -where one of the character was a Polish rat waving a Polish flag to the tunes of our national anthem!!! I cant see any funny point in there. As a matter of fact I am outraged and humiliated on behalf of my country! I am angry at Tories for fuelling this campaign in ridiculing and scapegoating my nation! I am also angry at LibDem for not protecting the liberal values of this country! And I am angry with Polish Foreign Ministry for allowing this to happen!!!!
