this day last year beckett just barely hit the 3 lb mark. he had gotten a very bad infection which caused him to be reintubated for Christmas Day. since the infection was unknown we were unable to hold him through his very first Christmas. it was one of the most heartbreaking days of parenthood. not many parents are told they cant hold their newborn baby let alone have to be dressed head to toe as if he was an infectious disease himself. like many other things, beckett pulled through amazingly. we are truly grateful for everything our little big man has conquered in his short life thus far. a very merry Christmas to those who are spending the holidays in the NICU. a merry Christmas to the NICU staff esp those who work Christmas Day. your support was above what I expected and I truly couldnt have done it without you all.
