this doesnt look good at first sight but it has no real reflection on the game where a draw may have been a fair result ,or maybe we just edged it but darsley park 4 blakelaw 1...we started the morning with a very positive feeling all turning up early as requested and indulged in a good old fashioned gee up in the middle of the pitch seconds before the start ... team selection looked good with one or two unlucky not to start ..both teams had early chances that were well defended or not taken ..darsley took the lead after we lost possession on the left for their winger to cross the ball to their forward heading into the net ,maybe with the height and size of our keeper he could have done a bit better .two of our best chances were firstly a good corner from big hodge to the head of terry with the keeper rebounding it out to another of whom im not quite sure who ,,,,,however it looked a goal all the way but defended well right on the line with their keeper beat ...the other ,,a rather surprised chris Nevins hitting the ball off the keeper when set free after poor defending .. 1 0 half time we looked strong in the centre of midfield which we had set out to do as we knew by our last meeting we had to be,,however our defence didnt look at their positionally minded best and a bit too quiet ..........second half I forgot the bloody oranges ,,well they werent bloody actually they were proper ones...same 11 same positions and more chances wasted again the best one little hodge set free only to shoot wide with only the keeper to beat ..however after some confident work from many of the players for a good 20 minutes.... our equaliser finally came early into the second half from john scraggs hitting it low first time from just inside the box after good work from chris ..at this time my thoughts were only on a win .this was not to be ,defensively through the centre we seemed to crumble ,but the pisser was their second a darsley player got forward far left of the goal and with good pressure from ralphy just hit it ,wether it was a cross or a shot he didnt mean to put it right in the top far corner thats for sure ..unfortunately after the shot ralph was replaced due to tangling with the lucky so and so ..all our hard work scuppered but thats football. they then broke away again through the middle defence not sharp enough again ..we then lost terry through injury and micky kears was replaced as we went 3 at the back but they shortly scored almost an identical goal to their third making it 4 1 .. all subs were used infact 6 but say nowt ,,.....I stated at the start look around each player and realise we are good enough ,I still believe this and this includes the boys on the line too .... everyone went out to win this game and put in a performance to show this some better than others but my feelings right from the start were that everybody was up for it ,,this can only be good moving on ,,..at least were not as bad as the toon fkn shambles ....finally thankyou to the few supporters who turned up and welcome to carl phillipson who if good enough will get his chance ...home next week and a couple of wins on the trot be nice ....keeper 5,,louie,,6,andy 5,,mick 5 colin 7 little hodge 6 ralphy 7 terry 7 hodge 6 john 6{goal} chris 7 ..subs a big thank you hard to assess points .....full squads positivity and attitude 10.out of 10 please keep me informed of injuries if need a rest take one next week might just be the right time ..
