this is how the media manipulates whites into fearing/hating blacks. here, the media edits out that the little boy wants to grow up to be a police officer, only including the line when i grow up i want to have a gun. additionally, they show images intentionally representing victims of police brutality mean muggin culled from many harmless, normal pictures of the victims lives. the other day we saw the image intentionally chosen to represent a victim where he was in a bandana making an exaggerated mean-face, when they could have shown him in the pic next to that one on his facebook, where he was in his high school band uniform and big glasses looking affable and geeky. this is absolutely pervasive to the point that many white people are simply not exposed to images of well-adjusted, loving black families. we white people need to be freed from this kind of pernicious, subconscious messaging that sets us about on a fearful, hateful path. we have to look at our leaders, and our own culture and figure it out. because it is sick beyond imagining.
