this is my friends status, if it doesnt make you angry i have no idea why not!? My ex husband, Mark Brennand attacked me on the 14th of october 2014 just gone 6 in the morning. I was on my way to walk .Although my injuries are not that bad compared to many of the past bruises, cuts and brakes.This time I cannot sit back and let the justice system fail me again. I understand that the police are limited to what they can and cant do, but this is a ongoing case over 4 years with police involement and some small convictions for what he has done to me and my family. For the crime he commited and the injuries you can see he would have got bailed.They even found blonde hairs on his coat.Fortunately he was supposed to be in court on the 13th for sentencing for attacking me at my family home early hours of 1st april.basicly mothers day.where my 5 children were asleep upstairs.But he didnt show up and a warrant was put out for his arrest, unfortunately they failed to find him leaving him open to attack me yet again.once the attack occured they managed to arrest Mark within the hour.Why coulnt they have done that the day before??? Once again I feel I have been let down. He appeared in court once being handed over from police for a seperate crime!!! he recieved 9 months for a suspended sentence that he had at the time been remanded for 3!! 8 months for breaking the non mol order 3 months for my injuries(that were battery but lessened to common assault on a plea bargan) and just 7 days for skipping court!!!!! he will only serve half of this sentance because he was remanded when the suspended sentance was given. Also he may get time off for good behavour!!!!!Absolutely disgraceful.......
