this recent video by Nasrin Sotoudeh. Here she takes an opportunity to thank you all for your efforts in her support and ultimate release from prison. She asks for you continued support in promoting human rights in Iran by helping other imprisoned human rights lawyers. https://facebook/photo.php?v=730002027012516&set=vb.157026050976786&type=2&theater# Below is also the text of her message (in case you cant get the video)! --------------------------- Distinguished colleagues and friends, honorable lawyers, ladies and gentlemen, I hope you are well and I wish that you are victorious and persistent in your crucial activities. Please accept my endless appreciation for your activities during the three years that I was imprisoned. The kindness and consideration of friends like you, has been the most significant gratification that I have had during my detention. I know that many of you have had to endure difficulties in the path of human rights, and have learned from various experiences. Therefore, I consider our friendship as an opportunity for cooperation towards seeking justice and human rights. If the angle of justice would live among us, it would need our effort in order to stay alive. Together with you, I believe that the angle of justice still is alive. Thus with full anticipation I strive for its survival. My wish is that prosperity and justice can reach all inhabitants of the world so that my country Iran which contains part of the earth of our planet also benefits from it. As you may know there are many lawyers in Iran who despite all jeopardy still remain faithful to their professional oath. Recently, many of them, for instance Mr. Abdolfattah Soltani and Mr. Mohammad Seif-Zadeh have been arrested several times. They are sincere colleagues who have defended dissenters without any expectations and solely due to sense of duty. And now they are facing imprisonment as a consequence of being loyal to their professional oath. Although, I believe that bearing detention in essence is much easier than keeping silent against injustice, and for that reason my colleagues are bearing this pain, I truly wish that they will be set free immediately. I wish that all lawyers in the entire world, including Iran, can conduct their professional duties without any fear or threat. Again I use this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation. Kindest regards, Nasrin Sotoudeh
