to become a Muslim we say "la ilaha illallah" la means No ilaha means God illallah maens only Allah(swt).so if we translate it,then it comes that there is no God but Allah(swt) alone.notice that over here first we are rejecting all other false Gods then accepting one true God which is Allah(swt). this is the only difference than other faiths.other faiths accept God side by side they also accept other false Gods like idols,leaders,preachers,man made laws etc.but we Muslims accept Allah(swt) exclusively without any partner/association.
