Since then, China started to chip away the real democracy from HK, which violated the one country two systems policy between China and HK. Most infuriating example, the election law proposals. Despite that HK is having an election for citys chief, but the commitee dominated by people loyal to China are able to screen out candidates who has no backing from China government. What matters: Whats happening in Hong-Kong will posibally happen in Taiwan in the future. China government is like drug, making you feel good and slowly steal your perception and ability to act. At last, your own system is paralyzed by the poison with the sugar coat name one country two systems or Democracy. We need to learn from Hong Kong.
