to reptile lovers and friends on my page.... I just sometimes ponder this..because no one likes to talk about it, and Im a proud believer in legalizing some exotics, they have been here for decades way before the legislation of exotics began,all of a sudden everybody hates them, and the government is cashing in off it........How come Wildlife officials here are so quick to act, confiscate (and AUCTION off to parks and Zoos) black list and fine a person literally thousands and thousands of dollars for the private keeping of an exotic REPTILE. (even if the keeper was reputable, experienced and responsible, apparently theres no exceptions)...As far as I know these acts are carried out with no real evidence and on the basis that ALL exotic reptiles would be harmful to our environment..I believe this is somewhat true..but kind of unfair on the real hobbyists.......dont get me wrong Iam sure there are plenty of exotics that just shouldnt be here.....yet i see posts almost daily of either Snakes or monitors being killed,harassed and being illegally kept by red necks, cowboys and ignorant people...only to read that no one, if anyone has EVER been charged, or fined for the killing of a native reptile species...sorry but its bullshit. IMO #Rantover
