today is a special day for me. it reminds me how lucky and how strong of a person I am. 17 years ago today, my life changed forever. I was diagnosed with advanced testicular cancer.i was a kid in highschool. I didnt know what was going to happen, I was part of a huge study for an experimental chemotherapy. no one knew if it was going to work or not. I signed my life away saying I wanted to risk my life trying this new , experimental drug. it was my time to show how strong of a person I was. im a fighter, a survivor, and I am here today to say this, I looked death square in the eyes and laughed at it. I beat cancer. I am now cancer free. once a year, my wife and I have to go to Indianapolis to iu medical center for bloodwork and xrays. I have to do this for the rest of my life. it takes a strong person to say all of this, but it takes an even stronger person to stand by my side throughout this. Amanda, I love you so much for putting up and dealing with this part of my life.
