today is card day and teachers conference with parents..this is a chance, i suppose, for me and my fellow teachers to voice out to parents how their children respond to the things they ought to learn in school, and how do they conduct themselves within the premises of the school, whether they are obedient or disobedient..and other things that may affect their studies..i had a few cases in the past when because of the terrible behavior of some pupils, i couldnt wait for a chance to meet their parents just so that i will pour out all my grievances..but i always end up holding back myself as after a short talk the parent would instead pour out all his problems as to how he could handle his child...things like, the truth sir is i dont know what to do to my child. i think i did everything but still... and on and on...much to my civility i just held back my tongue for speaking anything hurtful...instead, because of compassion i would just say alright let me see what more i can do... but inside me i thought, paanak anak ka taz d mo kayang palakihin anak mo ng maayos... hayy being a teacher is being placed in a situation where all your civility and humanness is ultimately tested..this makes it always an honor to be in this profession...
