today me and my ktichen have taken somewhat of a beating...I decided I was going to cook something that we dont eat but about twice a year...I was just hungry for some chicken and dressing. I also made a carmel pecan pound cake, the first one I have cooked in about a month. Jimmy said he was due for a cake. AND I made me a breakfast quiche for my breakfast this week. While the cake was cooking, I went looking for my cake saver, knocked a glass pitcher out of the cabinet, glass shattered everywhere. But all is good, stuff happens, I get it up and move on. About an hour later, I get my quiche out of the oven and sit it on the stove top. Bad move, I should have moved it over to the cabinet, I did not. I put some eggs on to boil on the back burner (I thought) I turned on the front burner underneath the quiche. I caught it pretty quick, moved it over to a a cutting board...that apparently was a little cooler than it needed to be. The dang thing started sizzling, shaking and then the whole thing shattered/exploded...yeap, glass everywhere again..but this time all over my cooked chicken, in the fresh pitcher of tea, all over the cabinet, on the floor and several pieces sticking out of me....I have swept about 15 times, still getting up glass, it got me on my ankle and arm and I was bleeding all over the place. but this girl is dedicated.,I fixed more tea, cooked more chicken and finished up my chicken and dressing, made green beans and new potatoes...now just resting and waiting for JImmy to get home...all I gotta say is he better dang sure appreciate my work!!!
