todays ragam is mohanam........ Mohanam is a rāga in Carnatic music (musical scale of South Indian classical music). It is an audava rāga (or owdava rāga, meaning pentatonic scale). It is a janya rāga (derived scale), as it does not have all the seven swaras (musical notes). The equivalent of Mohanam in Hindustani music is Bhoop (or) Bhopali It is one of the common pentatonic scales across the world and is very popular in East Asian and South-east Asian music, including China and Japan. Mohanam scale with shadjam at C Mohanam is a symmetric rāga that does not contain madhyamam or nishādham. It is a symmetric pentatonic scale (audava-audava raga[1][2] in Carnatic music classification - audava meaning of 5). Its ārohaṇa-avarohaṇa structure (ascending and descending scale) is as follows (see swaras in Carnatic music for details on below notation and terms): ārohaṇa : S R2 G3 P D2 S avarohaṇa : S D2 P G3 R2 S (the notes used in this scale are shadjam, chathusruthi rishabham, antara gandharam, panchamam, chathusruthi dhaivatham) Mohanam is considered a janya rāga of Harikambhoji, the 28th Melakarta rāga, though it can be derived from other melakarta rāgas, Kalyani, Sankarabharanam or Vachaspati, by dropping both madhyamam and nishādham. The Hindustani equivalent Bhoop is associated with Kalyan thaat (equivalent of Kalyani). One of the first scales employed by the ancient Tamils was the Mullaippann (3BCE), a pentatonic scale composed of the notes sa ri ga pa da equivalent to C, D, E, G and A in the western notations. These fully harmonic scales, constitutes the raga Mohanam in the Carnatic music style. மோகனம் மோகனம் 28வது மேளகர்த்தா இராகமாகிய, பாண என்றழைக்கப்படும் 5வது சக்கரத்தின் 4 வது இராகமாகிய ஹரிகாம்போஜியின் ஜன்னிய இராகம் ஆகும். எப்போதும் பாடக் கூடிய இவ்விராகம் சர்வ ஸ்வர கமக வரிக ரத்தி இராகம் ஆகும். சுபகரமான இவ்விராகம் விரிவான ஆலாபனைக்கு இடம் கொடுக்கும். ஆரோகணம்: ஸ ரி2 க3 ப த2 ஸ் அவரோகணம்: ஸ் த2 ப க3 ரி2 ஸ இந்த இராகத்தில் ஷட்ஜம், சதுஸ்ருதி ரிஷபம்(ரி2), அந்தர காந்தாரம்(3), பஞ்சமம், சதுஸ்ருதி தைவதம்(த2), ஆகிய சுரங்கள் வருகின்றன. மத்திமம், நிஷாதம் வர்ஜம் என்பதனால் இது ஒரு வர்ஜ இராகம் ஆகும். இது உபாங்க இராகம் ஆகும். ரி, க, த என்பன ராகச்சாயா ஸ்வரங்கள். இதில் வரும் ஜண்டை ஸ்வரங்களும், தாடுப் பிரயோகங்களும் ராக ரஞ்சகமானவை. இது திரிஸ்தாயி இராகம் ஆகும். மேலும் இரவில் பாட இரு மிக ரஞ்சகமாக இருக்கும். இது ஒரு புராதன இராகம் ஆகும். எல்லா உருப்படி வகைகளையும் இந்த இராகத்தில் காணலாம். சுலோகங்களும், விருத்தங்களும் பாடுவதற்கேற்ற இராகம் ஆகும். இது ஒரு வர்ணனைக்குரிய இராகம் ஆகும். இசை நாடகங்களிலும், நிருத்திய நாடகங்களிலும் காணப்படும் பிரசித்த இராகங்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்றாகும். மனிதவர்க்கத்துக்கு தெரிந்த மிகப் பழைய இராகம் இது ஆகும். இந்த இராகத்தில் வரும் ஸ்வரங்கள் ஸட்ஜ - பஞ்சம முறையில் முதன் முதலில் தோன்றும் ஸ்வரங்களாகும். இந்த விடயத்தை ஆதி காலத்திலேயே எல்லா நாட்டு இசைக் கலைஞர்களாலும் கையாளப்பட்டு வந்தது. ஆதிவாசிகளின் இசையிலும் பாமரமக்கள் இசையிலும் கூட இவ்விராகம் வழக்கத்தில் இருந்து வருகிறது. இந்துஸ்தானி இசையில் பூப் என்பது இவ்விராகமே. சர்வ ஸ்வர மூர்ச்சனாகர ஜன்ய இராகம். இவ்விராகத்தின் ரிஷப, காந்தார, பஞ்சம, தைவத, மூர்ச்சனைகளே முறையே மத்தியமாவதி, இந்தோளம், சுத்தசாவேரி, உதயரவிச்சந்திரிக்கா ஆகிய இராகங்களாக ஒலிக்கின்றன. முல்லைப்பண் எனக் குறிக்கப்படுவது மோகன இராகமே ஆகும். திருவாசகத்திற்கு உருகாதார் ஒரு வாசகத்திற்கும் உருகார் எனச் சிறப்புப் பெற்ற மாணிக்கவாசகரின் திருவாசகங் கூட தொன்று தொட்டு இந்த இராகத்தில் பாடப்பட்டு வருவது இவ்விராகத்தின் சிறப்பை உணர்த்துகின்றது. youtu.be/j2Ayl_E4OcA Nilavu Thoongum Neram HD Video Song - Kunguma Chimizh - SPB Mohan Ilayaraja Tamil Hits Nilavu Thoongum Neram HD Video Song - Kunguma Chimizh - SPB Tamil Hits - Mohan Hits - Ilayaraja...
