Buy this photo The Rockets trailed 14-0 in the second quarter and 20-7 late in the third quarter before rallying. Shelby County outscored the Wildcats 20-0 over the final 15 minutes and 33 seconds for the win. A safety – led by the gang-tackling of Jalyn Perry and Quentin Holmes – trimmed Henry County’s lead to 20-9 late in the third quarter. The Rockets cut their deficit to 20-12 on Josh Edwards’ 27-yard field goal with 9:01 to play, then tied it when Thompson’s 3-yard TD run was followed-up by Malik Manica’s 2-point conversion run with 5:12 left before winning the game on Thompson’s push into the end zone. That triumphant touchdown was set up by Michael Perry’s 44-yard pass to Manica on a fake punt from the 50 on fourth-and-4. Thompson rushed for 107 and two touchdowns and completed 13 of 24 passes for 219 yards. Manica rushed for 62 yards (60 coming on a fake punt for the Rockets’ first TD) and had one catch for 44 yards. Perry finished with five catches for 60 yards. Dalton Thompson and the Rockets so proud!!
