ugh what a night what a morning... cat wouldnt come home before bed. I left the door cracked for him to come home, woke up at two am to the burning putrid aroma of skunk. i got up searched the house found nothing, went to bed or tried to my eyes where watering. crack of dawn two screaming kids come fling in my room that we have two dead rats on the floor i scramble up... one was a field mouse and one was a lemming ugh the kids wanted me to save them. my house is still overwhelming with the stink of skunk (suggestions?) cat is no where to be seen my guess is that can tangled with a skunk either that or a skunk let him self in and launched ass in my bed room (it the strongest smelling room) but i think the moral of the story is if the cat doesnt come home by bed time hes now locked out for the night sigh and i feel horrible for these little critters. i saved one lemming last week from the cats vice :( i just hope this is a different one
