Unlike the destroyer, Our Father - The Creator is NOT elitist, legalistic or o.c.d. in nature (despite the unflattering picture painted of The Lord by non-believers). He has rules, but His enduring grace and mercy along with the fact He knows the voice of His sheep assures us that His ways are not bound by the unholy knowledge of scholars(Isaiah 55:8-9), and is proof that He does and will respond to the prayer of the humble, the meek, the unlearned, the slow of speech, the poor.... The way of the adversary is a much different story. The enemy binds us and takes a legal right to torment us...based on OUR verbal contracts, especially, that allow the accuser in. In Vesta Williams song, Once Bitten, Twice Shy the first lyrics in the verse are: Youre name is Dracula...you suck the life right out of me. The enemy is the template from which Dracula was drawn. He seeks the life of a thing, and to extinguish its lifeforce/livelihood...kill, steal and destroy. And in order for this vampire and/or his minions to enter into your temple, house, or body...one must first invite them over the threshold of your dwelling. Someway....somehow.
