*unsolicited advice to fast food workers* Listen, I know you want more money.. Im really sorry you dont think its fair that you dont get paid what you think youre worth.. But youre not skilled workers. Ive worked in fast food. Ive worked minimum wage jobs and it looks like I will have to again. If you have a lot of experience and youre not happy with what youre being paid go to another place that will pay you more to start. If that doesnt make you happy go to school and learn a trade or get a degree. There are free/city/county/state subsidized schools all over the place. Community collage is relatively inexpensive. There will always somebody who will take the low paying job. Im talking from the perspective of a small business owner and thats who owns franchises. McDonalds doesnt own all these restaurants.. Families do. And theyre not going to forgo paying for their childs college education because you want $15/hour. They understand the value of education. Raising the minimum wage raises prices. Even big companies dont cut their profits to pay their workers more. Small companies have to raise prices to survive. Im sorry if you think its unfair. But thats the way it works.
