Sustainable Sources of Energy -Solar panels on the roof or yard. - A wind turbine can be providing energy on raining days… - Bicycle Generator. - Wood burning Generator. 3. Communication; Ham radio, Two-way radios to my family in the area.. - When the power lines go down, radio stations stop transmitting and the internet stops working; there is one line of emergency communication that will still be alive and well. (The Ham radio). My 3nrd focus; 1. Finding the Ultimate Bug out Property, if things go crazy in the city. 2. Building a team of people to bug out with to the property. 3. With the team, begin to build on the bug out property for Short term or maybe long team. -Evacuation Planning! Here are some example; -Shipping containers -Earth Ships or underground shelter -Trailer home or R.V. -Cabins or even a teepee and tents. -Security and Protection. -- Livestock; Goats, lambs, Turkey, chickens , rabbits, cows ect… What I’m looking for in a property; - Water Sources –A good reliable water source is one of the most important considerations when choosing a bug out retreat. From fresh water springs and rivers to underground well water, the need for a clean and renewable water source is the number one factor to consider when looking for survival properties. -Set up rainwater collection with barrels with Sawyer Water Filtration System. - Access to timber for firewood. - Fertile soil for planting fruit trees, nut trees and wild berries. Hopefully some will be already there. - Garden space. -Live wildlife game in the area and Fishing close by. Yes, I have been doing a lot of thought on the subject.
